Just when things were about to go from not-so-great to absolutely terrible for Australia’s hundreds of thousands of vapers, the Australian Government decided to delay their ban on nicotine e-juice imports for six months. As a result, Australians can continue to import e-liquid with nicotine in it for personal use until 1 January 2021. After which point, the importation of any nicotine-containing vaping products will be banned, assuming the ban goes into effect.
Of course, there is still a chance that the ban might not occur as the government may once again change its mind. There is hope that vapers will have their voices heard. To make sure yours is heard, contact your MP today!
Fighting The Vaping Ban
While the ban on the importation of vaping liquids has been postponed, that does not mean the fight is over. To fight the ban, various organisations have banded together to challenge the ban in a coordination fashion. These organisations include ATHRA, ARVIA, the Progressive Public Health Alliance, and Legalise Vaping Australia. But they’re not the only ones challenging the ban, as vapers across Australia have mobilised to fight for their right to vape.

Contact Your MPs
Legalise Vaping Australia, an initiative of MyChoice Australia and the Australian Taxpayers’ Alliance, has put together a form on their website that makes it easy for vapers to make their voices heard. Simply fill out the online form and click the submit button to make sure that your voice is heard.
You can also contact your MP and the Health Minister, Greg Hunt, directly to let them know what you think of the Government’s proposal to ban nicotine e-juice imports.
Sign The Petition
There’s also a petition that has been put together by Liberal and National MPs that calls on the Federal Government to regulate vaping, not ban it. If you support vaping, please sign the petition to make sure your voice is heard.
