Renova Zero Review
We’re going to start with what we like about this pod system and then get into what we don’t like.
The Good
Solid Design & Variable Voltage
Vaporesso did a good job designing and manufacturing this vape. It has variable voltage, providing three different preprogrammed voltage settings to alternate through to fine-tune the vaping experience depending on what you like. All it takes is clicking the button a few times and it switches voltages. The indicator light will flash a different colour to let you know what setting you’ve just placed it on.
Extra Portable
The design is pretty sleek. It’s easily something that you can hold in one hand and fit in a pocket.
Refillable Vape Pods
Refillable pods a big win for vapers who want to vape e-juices from different companies. If you look at a vape like the Juul, its vape pods, which are called Juul Pods, aren’t refillable, which means that you can only buy pods in e-liquid flavours that the company offers. With the Zero, you can basically use whatever you want.
Quickly Recharges
When fully charged, the battery on this Vaporesso vape tends to last a day or more. On days of heavy use, it may require additional charging. Charging is fast so there are no real worries there, and because it’s so small you always have the option of carrying around a spare battery. Just make sure you don’t leave the battery in a car on a hot day or in other extreme conditions that could cause damage to the battery or prove to be hazardous.
Good Vapour
Vaporesso’s Zero vapes pretty well but if you’re expecting enormous clouds then look elsewhere because this is a pod vape, not a high-powered mod that takes up every last bit of space in your pocket. For that matter, it’s not even the hardest-hitting pod vape we’ve used, but it’s good for what it is, which is a small and easy to use vape.
The Bad
Pods Sometimes Leak
While the Zero is pretty good about not leaking, it does sometimes leak. The first time you fill a pod, it seems to do well as far as not leaking is concerned. When you go to refill it after you’ve used up all the e-juice you initially squeezed in it, that’s where the problem seems to sometimes occur. After refilling a pod, they seem to be more prone to leaking. If you only use pods once, then you probably won’t have much of an issue with this problem and you may not experience it at all for that matter. But the pods are likely the most expensive part about using the Zero, which is why you may try to squeeze what life you can out of them before popping in a fresh one.
Bit of a disclaimer here: our experience using the Renova Zero may very well differ from your own so don’t expect yours to leak, just know that ours sometimes does when we’re using it. But again, it only seems to leak when you go to refill it, so if you just fill it up once and toss it, then it seems to be just fine for the most part.
Not The Hardest Hitting
This isn’t the most powerful vape on the market, which shouldn’t be a surprise to you considering it’s a pod vape. That said, the Zero doesn’t hit as hard as even some of the other pod vapes, but it should be more than powerful enough for casual vapers that aren’t looking for huge clouds.
Conclusion
Vaporesso’s Renova Zero is a good pod vape. It’s inexpensive, refillable, and it works pretty well so long as you’ve found a good vape juice to pair it with. It doesn’t produce the most voluminous clouds of vapour, but it does provide more than enough vapour for what we assume is most vapers. If you need something portable that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, then the Zero might be a great vape for you.
